Clinical Evaluation for Undescended Testis


Abstract
A clinical observation was made on 40 patients of undescended testis(43 cases) who were all treated with surgical method, orchipexy or orchiectomy during the period of January 1989 to December 1993 in Minjung hospital. Results were as follows:
On age distribution, average age was 9.7 years old and most frequent age group was 3 to 14 years old. On location of testis, inguinal area was most frequent location(62.8%) and interal ring area was next one(25.6%). On side of undescended testis,
right
side was 55% and left side was 37.5% and 7.5% of the cases were bilateral. Most common complication was opened tunica vaginalis(58.1%) and next one was inguinal hernia(37.2%).
